The goal of Two By Two Nursery School is to guide children in social adjustment and set the basis for primary education. Independence and self confidence will be stressed.

3 and 4 year old class.
This class is for older 3 year olds who are ready for more academics and 4 year olds who are preparing to enter kindergarten the following year. This class will provide a more formal introduction to letters and sounds through the Letter People program and a variety of structured activities. There is a daily circle time where the children will work on calendar skills, listen to a story, learn finger plays, and practice group discussion skills. Through Let's Find Out offered by Scholastic News, they will grow their language, science and social studies knowledge. Once a week the children will participate in Show and Tell and be able to borrow books from our Lending Library. They will also participate in more structured games and weekly craft activities. Approximately 4 field trips will be taken to various locations in the Capital Region.

2½ and 3 year old classes.
The main emphasis of this class is developing the children's socialization skills. They will be encouraged to take turns, share, and play cooperatively with other children. They will be exposed to situations which will help them with their language development. Examples include listening to stories, participation in a daily circle time, singing and finger plays. The subject of daily art projects will include nursery rhymes, stories, colors, and holidays. Children will be given the daily opportunity to develop small and large muscles with the use of puzzles, games, and supervised use of our gym area. In addition, approximately 3 field trips will be scheduled to various locations in the Capital District.

4 year old class (5 days).
In addition to the activities of the 3 and 4 year old class, these children will have more opportunities for sensory activities, music and movement, and grow accustomed to a daily school schedule.
